To view your DGLux dashboards on your Apple and Android devices you can use the DGLux mobile app available in the app stores:
DGLux Mobile App
I followed the below steps.
- In DGLux, created a user, and set the default mobile dashboard
- Downloaded DGLux for Mango on my iPad
- Set the server address to the url of my PC with the port (.home.org:8080)
- Entered the user name and password and clicked the login button
But I always get invalid username and password error. What could be wrong?
I have also confirmed that the url is ok by opening the same address in the web browser in my iPad and this opens the Mango page.
Update. Earlier, I had created the user only in DGLux and was getting the Invalid user name and password error. Now, I created the same user in both DGLux and Mango, and when I tried to log in through my iPad, I get the following error.
"Error. API not correctly implemented, session must include the ProductId"
What is the meaning of this error and what is the solution?
The problem was with the iOS. I updated the OS of my iPad to the latest version and now I am able to open the dashboard on iPad.
Thanks Joel, for the guidance.
It works once update the DGLux app. I found there is some lagging and some behavior are different from the desktop version, eg, single click vs double click on button.
The iphone and android apps are rendering differently. Particularly text size I think. I have a dashboard that I have setup with vertical and horizontal layouts all set to 100%. Dashboard scales well at various pc screen resolutions. I have installed the dglux mango app on 4 different android phones with varying resolutions, and all scale and look like the pc version. When I open the app in the iphone dglux mango app however it doesn't look so good. The iphone is a 4s. The font size is much bigger and crowds out the graph elements. It is almost like the font doesn't scale at all, while the other elements did. I have taken some screen shots and can send them to you if it would be helpful.
Difficult to really say - it sounds like there's quite a lot going on. Is it ALL the text, or only most of the text? If one container is set at "none" (scaling) with the resolution frame still set, that sounds like it could cause it. Of course, why it is only on the iPhone is the wrinkle... Try deleting the indicator object and rebuilding it. If your androids' or your pc's "various resolutions" aren't the same aspect ratio, this too would influence the "fit to full size" attribute of the indicators.
Perhaps try to simplify and recreate? If it's a systemic problem with the dglux app, I would direct you to dglogik.
