    Hi,

I have an XML file (or CSV) being used to populate a dynamic navigation menu. I would like to dynamically update the buttons in the navigation menu with the value of the corresponding point in the hierarchy tree.

The dynamic navigation menu works like a charm using the XML data widget combined with the amazing filtering & query abilities. Now second step, I would like to have the toggle buttons in the dynamic navigation menu to be updated with the latest value. The XML file contains for every button, the name of the datapoint but I do succeed in adding a colum with a formula or binding to obtain its latest value.

    How can I do this?

PS. Going to a SQL database is unfortunately not an option since this implicates big changes as proposed in other topics.

Thanks for giving me the missing piece ;-)

    Dear,

I want to use the new Mango M2M2 in my home automation system in order to "talk" with my Siemens S7-226 PLC. Since I did not found a direct integration, I've installed the Siemens OPC server component. Unfortunately, I do not succeed in configuring the OPC server in Mango M2M2.

Whenever I want to register it as datasource, I enter all data (username, password, servername, ...) but I can not select the OPC server installed on that server from the listbox. Probably I am doing something wrong overhere.... can somebody help me out please?

I am using the latest M2M2 binary (found on this website) together with the OPC DA module (version 1, I belive).

    Kind REgards,

    D

    Hi Joel,

    Thanks for your quick return.

In essence, the XML file is the configuration file of my PLC based home automation systems. It lists all relais and actions you can perform, categorized per location. Actions can be related to Energy, Alarm, Lightcontrol, Comfort or to control outlets. My home automation system includes a web listener to receive actions to execute (ip?execaction=<actionID+IDitem>) .

I want to create a flexible dashboard with following functinoality :

    • floorplan on which you can tap on a room adjusting the navigation menu with the related items
    • navigation menu which lists per category the items in an accordion.
    • the items in the accordian should behave as follows :
      - show a text, an additional icon to show the status and a button to control the status
      - a click event on the button customized to send the specific action above.

Note that not for every item in the XML, a specific datapoint exist in Mango as sometimes it only involves sending a command (f.e. Energy command switches of all energy, but no specific datapoint exist for this).

I have attached the project including the dgml and xml file.

    Thanks

    B
